With Foyle College moving to a new single site it was decided to review the branding of the PE kit. When reviewing the kit there were two objectives
1. A single identity for Foyle Sport.
2. Ensuring the kit is affordable without affecting the quality.
From July the new Foyle PE/Sports Kit will be available to order through the school website.
More information will follow on pricing and how to order kit. You can keep up to date through the school website and the school social media pages.
Yr8 pupils and primary school pupils from Ebrington PS and Drumahoe PS enjoyed the Science show from Science 2 Life this week at our Springtown assembly hall . The show has been launched by the Ulster – Scots Agency with an objective to encourage pupils to engage with science by learning about famous Ulster-Scots scientists and inventors.
It proved to be a fun and interactive opportunity to learn about science with pupils participating in experiments which explained the science behind the inventions of famous Ulster-Scots like Harry Ferguson and John Dunlop; and the discoveries of William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, who was the greatest British scientist of the 19th Century.
Congratulations to our Class of 2017 pupil, Sophie Doherty, who has been awarded the prestigious Protégés of Peace Scholarship to study at The Lawrenceville School in September.

It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to ‘Education to Employment ‘E2E’ Festival of Hope, the North West’s most exciting community based festival which aims to inspire, ignite hope and ambition as we make the connections between Education, Training and the World of Work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to speak to industry leaders and see the best of the North West in one place. A festival atmosphere, music, demos, modelling, you name it all under 3 huge marquees. There will be prizes to support progression into education or work.
This is a real family afternoon of fun and entertainment. The E2E event is being supported by Derry and Strabane District Council, the Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses. Queen's University, University of Ulster and many other employers such as Seagate, E&I Engineering, NI Fire Service and Western Health and Social Care Trust have confirmed they are going to be attendance.
This one-day event on May 26 will be a real opportunity to engage with CEO’s, HR managers and recruiters, industry specialists, restaurateurs, hoteliers, to hear their views and to drive an economically relevant curriculum.
Meaningful industrial links and conversations can be facilitated. This is our time to take the lead.
A number of events will take place on the day and will include the North West’s top employers across a range of industries, team events, competitions, a ‘catwalk’ model agency, big engineering firms, digital giants, talks by former pupils and workshops facilitated by our own college staff.
Below is a link if the form teachers want to have a look at the event details.
Foyle College’s Head Boy Adam McElhinney and Head Girl of Lumen Christi travelled to Áras an Uachtaráin in Dublin. There they met with the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, his wife Sabina and Royal Guests, Prince Charles and Camilla.
