All Yr10 pupils attended a ‘Choosing Science’ event at the Springtown site on Wednesday 18 January. Pupils were inspired by a wide range of science ambassadors from the local community who presented their experiences to the pupils, ensuring pupils are more informed as they move forward with subject and career choices this year.
The staff and students of Foyle College raised £761.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support charity during our festive Jolly Jumper Day. We are proud to have contributed towards the charity's new £1.5million Cancer Care facility at Altnagelvin Hospital.
All proceeds from today’s Jolly Jumper Day will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Care Charity, contributing towards their new Support Centre at Altnagelvin Hospital. Their new Centre will provide much needed information and support services to people affected by cancer and their families throughout the North West region.Pupils from all year groups traded their blazers for festive jumpers – the perfect additions to our delicious Christmas dinners today!
Year 12 Mock Examinations January 2017
Report to the sports hall at the time shown in the first column for each exam – 9:10 for the morning session, 11:45 for the midday session and 1:50 for the afternoon session. Any gap between this time and the start of the exam can be spent preparing and revising. Pupils entitled to extra time will be given this through added time at the start and/or end of the sessions. Music and Art exams will be in their respective rooms.
If you do not have an exam in a particular session, then you may revise at home. If you choose to prepare in school, then you are to use the study hall or library for revision when there is a gap in your schedule. You must sign out, at the office, if you are going home after an exam. Full school uniform is to be worn on any occasion when you are in school.
You must plan to be present for all of your papers – the real GCSE exams have very strict rules regarding this and we are trying to make our school exams as realistic as possible. If you are ill and unable to attend, you should contact the school as early as possible to arrange an alternative time.
