STEM Club Introduction

WHAT IS STEM CLUB?

  • Stem club is an opportunity for you to explore, science, technology, engineering and maths carrying out fun investigations you don’t always have time for in the classroom!
  • You will complete a range of activities throughout the course of the year – activities organised by your teacher and also ideas you have –you could visit www.stemclubs.net/.
  • You will have the opportunity to achieve Science CREST Awards
  • Activities will be fun!
  • STEM club meets weekly in the Science labs, beginning directly  after half term and runs through until easter.

YEAR 9:Mr C.Mckinney-  Starts Friday 11 November in S22: 1.10-1.55pm

  • A marshmallow and spaghetti tower building competition.
  • Making and investigating the ultimate bathbombs!
  • Dissecting owl pellets
  • Making Copper Sulfate crystal geodes.
  • Crystal Growing competition.
  • Seaweed workshop
  • Investigating different types of glue!.
