Year 10 Young Enterprise Project Business Seminar. This programme gives Year 10 pupils the opportunity to engage in business activities ahead of their GCSE subject choices.
Many thanks to Stephen Savage, a representative from New Driver NI, for delivering an informative presentation to our Post-16 pupils. Facts and figures about the purchase and upkeep of vehicles, an overview of the law and, most tragically, accounts of teenage deaths and accidents contributed to an extremely hard-hitting and worthwhile 40minutes for the pupils.
On Wednesday 25th January 2017, a number of Lower Sixth Business Studies pupils attended the annual QUB Management School – Taster Programme in the Whitla Hall, Belfast. The Programme consisted of various taster sessions on Accounting, Actuarial Science and Risk Management, Business Management, Economics / Business Economics, Finance and International Business with a Modern Language.
The purpose of the day was to provide pupils with an opportunity to learn more about the Management School and life at Queen’s in general. Pupils had the opportunity to speak informally with staff and students from the Management School and to find out more about the degrees on offer, which will allow them to better differentiate amongst the various degree programmes and to make a more informed choice when applying through UCAS in September 2017.
