Science Focus Week 2019

“Another exciting Yr8 Science focus week at Foyle College! –  Pupils had the opportunity to sign up to a wide range of science based activities with  rat dissections, sports science, bug hunts and rocket making  to name a few of the lunchtime workshops on offer alongside site visits to the Lough’s agency and ‘The Lycra Company’ at Maydown. The visit form ‘World of Owls’ with the ‘Amazing Animal roadshow’ was informative and enjoyed by both pupils and staff. Please click on the link below to see more photos of the week’s events.”

Holocaust Memorial Trust Event

Holocaust Memorial Trust Event - remembering genocides.

We had the honour of welcoming Safet Vukalić, a Bosnian Muslim who survived persecution in Bosnia in the 1990s, to Foyle College today.

Safet addressed our Year 11 - 14 History students and students from St. Cecilia's College and St. Patrick's and St. Brigid's College.

This event is part of the lead up to Holocaust Memorial Day 2020. It takes place on January 27, and next year will mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1945 and July 2020 will mark 25 years since the genocide in Srebrenica,
