Education Maintenance Allowance is a weekly allowance of £30 to help 16, 17, 18 and 19year olds with the costs of further education.Payments are made every 2 weeks as long as you continue to meet your school or college’sattendance requirements.
 
There are also 2 performance based bonuses of £100 normally paid out in January and June.Getting EMA won’t affect any benefits you or your family already receive.

PIPS Workshop

Pupils from 9B at their PIPS (Public Initiative for Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm) HEALTHY MINDS workshop on Monday.

Parents training will take place on Wednesday 29th at 6.30 pm in the senior Assembly Hall – all welcome!

Chemistry at work

The aim of this event was to introduce 14 – 16 year old students to local industry and demonstrate how the chemistry they are currently being taught at school is applied by a variety of people in their everyday work.  The event was organised by the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, at the Ulster University, and sponsored by the RSC and the Wolfson Foundation.
