Lara Dingley, Y14, and Rachel Newhouse, Y13, were both successful in their applications to the highly competitive Points of Light Ambassadorship. In Northern Ireland only 6 Ambassadors were chosen to promote the Award, gain stories and submit those case studies to the Cabinet Office for consideration. These young volunteers will be supported by the Cabinet Office.

GCSE English pupils used their speaking and listening skills to interview Heron Group managers during a CEIAG visit to the new Foyle College site on the Limavady Road. Pupils interested in careers such as architecture, engineering, accountancy and journalism used this opportunity to recognise the benefits English Language and English Literature will have to their future employment opportunities.
