We have decided to interview Robert Astbury who has been running the Cadets for 23 years. He has told us that Foyle has been involved in Cadets since the 1950’s. We asked Robert what benefits he thinks Cadets would have on Foyle and he answered us with this, “Cadets will teach the pupils of Foyle some self-discipline and will also teach children how to reach higher goals in life. In Cadets the pupils get to meet other Cadets throughout the UK and Northern Ireland”.
Robert told us that he has a lot of stories and memories from Cadets, some which are funny and some which are more serious, but throughout all the memories he has had a great time with all the pupils.
