Unity Project - Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Foyle's 9B spent the day at Clooney hall along with pupils from St Marys College and Lisneal College. The programme for the day was delivered by the Unity team and dealt with the everday issues that schools experience because of the prejudices pupils have. 9B interacted with both schools discussing some very sensitive topics and left Clooney Hall feeling the day was very worth while. |

| Foyle and Londonderry College were worthy winners of the Northern Bank Schools' Bowl Final played at Ravenhill on 20th February |
| Cambridge House Grammar School took on Foyle and Londonderry College in the final of the Northern Bank Schools' Bowl. A large contingent of supporters accompanied both teams, and the enthusiasm was obvious from arrival. | |

Stars In Their Eyes - Tuesday, February 13, 2007

The very popular “Stars In Their Eyes” competition will take place on Thursday 15th February @ 7.45 in the Assembly Hall in Duncreggan. The event will be hosted by Laura Doherty, who you may remember, reached the finals of the very first “Pop Idol” series.
After enduring the gruelling auditions, eight acts from the Junior School and eight acts from the Senior School were chosen to perform on Thursday. Among the judges will be Mrs O’Somachain, Mrs Donna Hegarty and Mr Michael Bradley from “The Undertones”.
Admission is strictly ticket only and as there are only a few remaining you would need to hurry as you cannot be guaranteed entry on the night without a ticket!
Tickets are available from the school office. |

As part of the BBC i-generation series, 6th form students from Foyle College will be joining students from other schools in the city, for a debate with Hugh Orde Cheif Constable of the PSNI.
The debate will be a chance for young people to ask questions about the future of policing , and get across the views of the young people of the city.
The debate will be live on Newsline 6.30 with a live webchat straight after the programme. |

During his visit he talked to students about his published books, and the worlds in which they are based.
