Junior school science students recently took part in a field trip to Ness Woods. Pictures are now available in the gallery.

Foyle's 9B spent the day at Clooney hall along with pupils from St Marys College and Lisneal College. The programme for the day was delivered by the Unity team and dealt with the everday issues that schools experience because of the prejudices pupils have. 9B interacted with both schools discussing some very sensitive topics and left Clooney Hall feeling the day was very worth while.

Foyle and Londonderry College were worthy winners of the Northern Bank Schools' Bowl Final played at Ravenhill on 20th February Cambridge House Grammar School took on Foyle and Londonderry College in the final of the Northern Bank Schools' Bowl. A large contingent of supporters accompanied both teams, and the enthusiasm was obvious from arrival.

David Workman, President of the IRFU Ulster Branch presented the trophy to the winning team, and all involved received medals for participation. Pictures are available from the gallery click here

Early dress rehearsals for Oliver took place yesterday.The show is sure to be a great success, with all the cast working very hard to be ready for opening night.    Pictures are available from the gallery here.   The school production of Oliver is proving very popular, and we recommend that you reserve your tickets before they are fully sold out.

The very popular “Stars In Their Eyes” competition will take place on Thursday 15th February @ 7.45 in the Assembly Hall in Duncreggan. The event will be hosted by  Laura Doherty, who you may remember, reached the finals of the very first “Pop Idol” series. After enduring the gruelling auditions, eight acts from the Junior School and eight acts from the Senior School were chosen to perform on Thursday. Among the judges will be Mrs O’Somachain, Mrs Donna Hegarty and Mr Michael Bradley from “The Undertones”.  Admission is strictly ticket only and as there are only a few remaining you would need to hurry as you cannot be guaranteed entry on the night without a ticket! Tickets are available from the school office.

The Energy Saving Trust have launched their annual photographic competition with a 10,000 euro prize fund.  This is the same competition won by Paul Smith last year.  Anyone interested in entering please see Mr Moorcroft for information.

Foyle And Londonderry College Music Department presents the Christmas Concert. The Concert will be held in Christchurch at 7.30 tonight, everyone is welcome to come along.

Foyle & Londonderry College presents  A Midsummer Night's Dream on Wed 29th and Thur 30th November. The school show will be held at Duncreggan assembly hall at 8pm. Pictures of early rehersals can be viewed in the gallery from the link below. The show promises to be a night to remember.

Foylenews the Online Student Newspaper has had its launch today. Foylenews aims to provide students with news, events and pictures of what’s happening within and outside school. As part of the BBC i-generation series, 6th form students from Foyle College will be joining students from other schools in the city, for a debate with Hugh Orde Cheif Constable of the PSNI. The debate will be a chance for young people to ask questions about the future of policing , and get across the views of the young people of the city. The debate will be live on Newsline 6.30 with a live webchat straight after the programme.

Guardian Reporter Esther Addley a past pupil of Foyle And Londonderry College, returned to school as part of a special series of reports for the Guardian Newspaper. Esther talks about her time at Foyle, and how much has changed since her time here. The full report can be read from the link below.

Pictures from the Year 10 Somme trip are now available in the gallery. Students visited the Somme center where artifacts from the battle are on display, and with hands on exhibits, students where able to get up close to many of the interesting exhibits and displays.
